A staged reading of a new comedy by Susannah Dalton and directed by Jose Ignacio Vivero.
All hell breaks loose when a working-class Queens family comes together for their father’s funeral and finds mountains of cash from illegal gambling hidden in his bathroom walls. While deciding what to do with the money threatens to rip them apart, they must work together to keep it from going to the one place none of them wants it to go: the U.S. government. In a cheeky microcosm of class politics, Flush is a comedy about money, family, and what it means to leave a legacy. Come share an evening with us and be part of the development of a new play born and set right here in Queens.
