Internships
Internship opportunities are available at Queens Theatre in the Park during the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
Interns gain valuable experience in arts administration, grant making, marketing and/or development. Interns may receive college credit.
A learning plan is established at the beginning of the internship in mutual cooperation between the intern and supervisor. The intern completes at least one project during the internship, and also receives a broad introduction to other functions of the organization. The intern is considered a staff member for the duration of the internship and attends all staff meetings, workshops, etc. as feasible.
Strong applicants will have a demonstrated interest in art and philanthropy, will possess diplomacy skills, and will have the ability to work well with diverse people. A familiarity and comfort with basic computer applications is required, including competence in Word and Excel and experience in conducting research utilizing the Internet. Coursework or experience in the field of arts administration is a plus.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. If you are interested in applying for an internship, please send a cover letter stating your interest in and goals for the internship along with a resume and references. Supplemental materials that may strengthen application are not required, but will be accepted. Eligible candidates will be contacted to schedule an interview.
