Summertime and the free music options are easy.
Queens Theatre is once again a partner with Kupferberg Center for the Arts to bring Live @ the Gantries in Long Island City during July and August.
Every Tuesday from July 9 to Aug. 27 head to Gantry State Park in Long Island City for an eclectic mix of musical styles and dance performances.
Shows get underway at 7pm.

Aug. 20: Akoko Nante―African
Aug. 27: Andres 1,2,3―Music for kids in English and Spanish
Live at the Gantries is sponsored by NYC Councilmember Jimmy Van Bramer.

Gantry State Park is located on the East River at 4-09 47th Road in Long Island City, not far from the Vernon Blvd.-Jackson Ave. subway stop of the 7 train.
